My 15yo son loves Trap Metal. I’d never heard of it lol
Haha. Most of us old heads are like but… It’s better that taylor swift or stadium country haha
He does a lot of mixing different styles (Ghostmane). I think he has some good songs.
That’s about as close to metal as he gets though
O whoa! Nice… I like that! Never heard that stuff from him! Thx dude
Wait… you took this? Amazing pic and love Sevendust!
Oops sorry Steve thought I was replying to @Seb
Clipping. are amazing
Indeed I did. Love 7D too. Had the pleasure of meeting LJ & Vinnie a few years back too.
Those are great shots Seb!
Thanks mate, much appreciated
Ok, so, as some of you may remember I’m a bit behind in my discovery of bands. I only found TOOL in my first couple of months of sobriety.
Next new band to me is
Porcupine Tree!
An English progrock band.
I quite like them.
Awesome, glad you like them!! I’m not entirely sure what it is, but there’s something about Power Trip which makes them feel very relevant to the world/my life right now. Perfectly suited to the chaos of 2020. I love it when a band lands perfectly at the right time in your life and you go ‘snap, that’s what I needed’. That was Power Trip for me this year What other stuff you finding on Power Trip radio? I don’t really use Spotify.
Nice. Age of Quarrel gets a lot of play time for me. Another album I play all the time in that vein is Terror - One with the Underdogs.
I keep saying I’m going to switch to Spotify because the Amazon Music app is unbelievably wonky and annoying. But the thought of building up another music library
Do it man, Spotify is awesome. There might be a way to export you playlists?
Beams of fire sweep through my head
Thrusts of pain increasingly engaged
Sensory receptors succumb
I’m no one now, only agony
My crimson liquid so frantically spilled
The ruby fluid of life unleashed
Ripples ascend to the surface of my eyes
Their red pens drawing at random, at will
A myriad pains begotten in their wake
The bastard spawn of a mutinous self
The regurgitation of my micro nemesis
Salivating red at the prospect of my ruin, my doom
Malfunction the means for its ascent
Bloodletting the stringent voice to beckon my soul
So futile, any resisting tension
As death-induced mechanics propel its growth
The implement, the device of my extinction
The terminating clockwork of my gleeful bane
The definitive scourge of its mockery
The end-art instruments, lethality attained
Heed, it commands, heed my will
Bleed, it says, bleed you will
Falling into the clarity of undoing
Scornful gods haggle for my soul
Minds eye flickers and vellicates as I let go
Taunting whispers accompany my deletion
A sneering grin, the voice of my reaper
Chanting softly the song of depletion
I love Porcupine Tree. Any band Steven Wilson has anything to do with are great.
