Fresh pineapples contain bromelain, an enzyme which breaks down proteins and essentially attacks your tongue, cheeks, and lips on contact. It’s basically “tenderising” the inside of your mouth. But don’t worry, your cells regenerate quickly.
That’s why my mouth hurts so bad after eating too much pineapple. It’s my favorite summertime snack by the pool and I always overdo it.

As a former resident of Wyoming I am aware of this fact. Also the tallest livable buildings (non farming) are MacIntyre and White halls on the University of Wyoming campus (as of 2003) at a whopping 12 floors. Mac 10 was my floor.
