I was referring to the city proper. Wrangell’s city limits may extend far onto the island itself, but the actual city with suburbs, excluding “country” is incredibly small. Often people walk to work.

May 9th mind blowing random thought of the day: Approx. 6 to 10 billion light years away, there exists a void in space 1 billion light years wide that is completely empty of both normal and dark matter, nor does it emit any detectable radiation or light of any kind.

May 10th mind blowing random thought of the day: Fire hydrants are color coded for how many gallons of water per minute (GPM) they can put out, red being the worst at below 500 GPM and blue being the best at 1,500 GPM or more. In addition, they are colored to indicate whether they use a private or public water system, yellow meaning private and white meaning public.

May 22nd mind blowing random thought of the day: Second Officer Charles Herbert Lightoller of the Titanic, who remained onboard throughout its sinking, became trapped underwater until a boiler explosion set him free and allowed him to survive by clinging onto a capsized raft. He would then later volunteer to serve in WWII, where he helped evacuate over 120 men from the island of Dunkirk, successfully evading German capture.

I was doing some research on Alaska a couple years ago because I wanted to vacation there. The tourist brochure pictured Alaska superimposed on the rest of the USA.
If the southeast tip was placed in Louisiana, the Alutien islands would reach the West coast!
Also, if Manhattan had the same population density there would be only 16 people living there!
