Misconceptions of sobriety

I used to judge, drinkers and non-drinkers. I think (hope) sobriety has made me kinder and less judgmental. I did get a flash a few days ago of me ordering a drink and getting flack about it from an old guy. My response was “it’s medicinal” his response was “you’re too young to say that”.
My life was an endless stream of patterns of use and hangovers toward the end. I see that clearly now and am just getting to the point where I can defend my sober choices in public. Strength in my convictions and kindness are my leaders now.
