Saw it last night. I feel bad because I was supposed to like it more than I did. A bit too artsy fartsy for my taste. The person with the alcohol problem (in case folks haven’t watched it) was painful to watch. Too close to home. Oddly, I liked the ending. I prefer neat and tidy endings, but this worked.

My SO prides himself on figuring out the end 5 minutes into the movie. Haha on him. Figured it out when the ending credits started.

I liked it a lot. Jessica did an excellent job and I kinda remember the story. So I liked that.

Good old PTL. I remember something about an air conditioned dog house. And Tammy’s eye makeup. Oy!!! But people fell for it. That show was wildly popular. Goes to show how badly people want to believe in something.

My daughter has become obsessed with all things Lin Manuel Miranda so we’ve watch a bunch lately.

I have to say that Tick Tick Boom is my favourite.

Even my wife kept saying I hate this.
We only watched it because it’s got 12 nominations for the Oscar’s. It was just awful.
Kirsten Dunst did a pretty good job I guess. And Jesse Plemens was pretty good. And I couldn’t see the dog. :grimacing:. Oh well. On to the next one.

It’s more of an “art” film for sure. I can see that a good percentage of people won’t like it. Not to say I’m more “highbrow” or anything shitty like that….it’s only that this is a story told by secrets and I don’t think a lot of people would like it. For me I felt like I was going to hate it until “boom” and I got it. I loved it because it got me like that.

It was definitely NOT the type of movie I usually go for. In general I like “light” and “fun”. I don’t like to work for my entertainment. :joy:

And, to be fair, I only chose to watch it because, well, Benedict Cumberbatch!!

For some reason, ever since I been sober, I’ve been wanting to watch this again. It’s a Masterpiece all right. I got no words. Except I never want to go back to drinking ever again.

I thought it was kind of dry myself. I was kind of expecting more. Good for a boring rainy day 1.99 rental. :grin:
