Just watched and thought the acting by Joaquin Phoenix was great. The movie itself not so much. Not as bad as I was expecting per others reviews but that ending was highly disappointing

Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter are good in this biopic piece about Nicholas Winton pioneering escape and safety for tens of tens of Czech children during Hitler’s regime. Quite moving and important. I don’t think I recall ever knowing about that episode of That’s life with Esther Ransom where the grown up kids surrounded him in the studio audience
