Sometimes you’ve gotta go broke, lose someone you thought you loved and watch your friends turn to strangers… just to get to your destination. I know it’s hard, but at times elevation requires separation.

I had a friend years ago stop talking to me. It hurt because we were good buddies through the Navy. I knew he was trying to stop drinking and at that time drinking was all I did. I get it now. He had to cut me out of his life to save his own. Time I do the same.
