I got myself an early birthday gift, or a late xmas gift? It sounds and plays as amazing as it looks!
Dudeā¦ so much for me to catch up on in this thread. In a great way!
I havenāt been able to get into a music-making mindset for a long time. Just been too distracted, I guess. Iāll get thereā¦
I just wrote this song earlier today, inspired by a post here. I wasnāt planning recording it today, but I did, itās a rough draft if you will.
Lyrics:
20 years of drinkn
my life, slowly sinkin
I need to find a way
to finally give a damn
The sober life has taken
every once of stength and
now I realize
I donāt know who I am
And I breathe in meaning to my life
And I believe that someday Iāll do it right
I wake up monday morning
and without no warning
the tears start to
well up in my eyes
cuzā lifeās beautiful
itās indisputable
The man Iāve become
I feel so alive
And I breathe in meaning to my life
And I believe that someday Iāll do it right
Ohhh I might have a chance
If I ever learn who I am
And I breathe
So much to talk about
how could I live without you
You bring purpose and joy to my life
And I breatheā¦
Beautiful man!
Thanks friend!
Itās been a while since I have sat down and wrote a song. I normally donāt write love songs, but here it is. A love song.
Nice! Iām a sap for a good love song and you nailed it.
W00t!! Maybe Iāll be the next Micheal Bolton!!
Nice. When i was a kid I used to pretend I was a radio DJ. Iād record songs from my turntable and then introduce the songs in between, do a little bantering in between songs, etc. Memories of Summer Vacation!
Sweet Gretch! Country Gentleman?
Oh geez I wish! Itās a modern version of the electromatic.
I thought I would give AI a crack at writing a song. I asked it to write lyrics in the style of Mumford and Sons and this is the result; the most Mumford and sons song ever written. Ha!

(Verse 1)
In a world of shadows, we search for light,
Through the darkest valleys, we strive to ignite,
With banjo strumming and hearts aflame,
Weāll sing our story, embrace the name.
(Verse 2)
With pounding drums and guitars in hand,
Weāll journey on, across this land,
Through fields of gold and oceans wide,
Weāll find our purpose, side by side.
(Bridge)
And when the night falls, weāll gather 'round,
With harmonies woven, weāll be spellbound,
The melodies will heal our wounded souls,
As we embrace the music that makes us whole.
(Chorus)
Oh, let our voices rise on the wind,
Like a flame that never grows dim,
Together weāll sing, with hearts undone,
In this tale of love thatās just begun.
I was going through some of my old songs and found this one. It was a song written by my old vocalist in our project we were working on.
This was recorded as not even a rough draft, just during a writing session.
Unfortunately, covid19 broke us apart as she lost her job and moved out of state. I really think we had something there.
She has a beautiful voiceā¦sounds effortless and natural. Too bad she moved away.
She does have a beautiful voice, kind of bummed we squandered our time together.
I was talking to a friend about doing acoustic covers of pop song and it reminded me of when me and my music partner at the time did a cover of Apologize by Timbaland/One Republic. I had to dig deep into the archives for this one.
Oooh! Acoustics are awesome and I really like her spin on vocals.
It was a fun song to cover. The original mix was terrible because I didnāt know what I was doing back then, so I re-mixed it yesterday. I think itās a bit better.
Also, this track has only been up for about 12 hours and already has 194 plays, my best song (IMO) only has 73ā¦
I loved it well done you
Woo hoo! Probably even higher now. Awesomeness!!
