Well thanks! I just enjoy doing it, soon I’ll have a quiet house so I can record new stuff again!

When my wife was pregnant, I’d play the baby music at night. This is one of the songs.

How did I miss this last time around? I’m “Watching” this thread! I love this track. It’s so soothing, I want to fall asleep to it tonight myself.

Edit: Well recorded and balanced, too! Full, warm, and sparkly on my monitors. If I need to hire anyone for recording or mastering, I know who I wanna go to!

Thanks James!

I was messing around tonight and recorded this. This was using a new tube preamp I recently acquired. I love the preamp! I need to get the mic closer to the guitar so you don’t get all the background noise.

Sounds good. I got a plan to get myself set up. We had 2 old laptops hanging around here. I took them to a shop and he says they are both ok and he is loading Windows 10 on them. So soon I will be having a go at recording!

Ooh nice! It’s got a good character to it, your preamp. Why’dya have to go and awaken my desire to record when I have nothing to record? Gah!

@anon12657779, good to hear your setup is on the way. Fun fun!

I’m a little daunted about my current project. Remembering how much work it is to score parts for all these instruments. I’m at 16, and it looks like I will need at least couple more to account for solos and additional percussion. But part by part, measure by measure, it will get done.

I picked up my guitar this week for the first time in months, I suck at it even more so now but love singing lol. Once this cold is gone I want to work toward more music to record to share! This week I was messing around with Chris Stapletons parachute.

What has everyone else been working on, anything fun?

My orchestral piece is on hold at the moment, and still in the beginning stages. It is such a labour-intensive project, and I’ve got other things competing for my attention right now.

I know how that goes!!! I picked it up the first time for legit-10 minutes. Then I was inspired cleaning later while listening to music and picked it up again for a bit later too. Shooting for at least once a week to just enjoy my crappy playing!

I have my keyboard to the eldest when he moved out because it was WAY nicer than his so we traded. I’ve got to get a power cord but I just moved his to my livingroom so I can mess woth that too-maybe I’ll find better success there but I don’t even care honestly. Its just fun to me! My drum made it upstairs to my livingroom too. More music time is a beautiful thing. Now I just need to learn how to play with it all! Haha.

This thread has gone too quiet! I’m picking up a new instrument. Forgot how much patience and repetition the beginning requires!

What’s everyone else up to? Any new endeavours for the new year coming up?

Cool stuff! I admire the control and technique that goes into that. Been doing it long?

Thanks! Yeah I really like it. I haven’t been doing it too long, but about 5 years now

Practicing my lower vocal range with a tuner app I downloaded yesterday. Pretty fun to be able to hit a B1, in a really geek way, but not exactly useful :joy:

Music has always been a huge part of my life. I find it therapeutic to write and let every emotion flow through the music. I wrote this shortly after sobering up. It’s called Scars.

(I had my friend do the vocals as it needed a strong voice.)
