Today has given me the opportunity to reflect and to figure out what I can incorporate into my routine for recovery. Years ago in treatment I learned about chakras and would like to get back into that! Id like to incorporate yoga into my routine maybe a few times a week. I am enjoying meditation but I feel like I have alot of my chakras are blocked and that I have alot of stored energy. I need to unblock them. The only method I know for this is yoga poses specifically for that. Does anyone know of any apps or sites or has any information on other ways to also unblock chakras?
Now… my ah ha moment lol… I was doing abit of research (also related to things I’ve learned in my past). So butterflymoon woman is my spirit name. An Elder back in winnipeg, Manitoba gave me this name. We spoke of the butterfly and how it is always in flight. Meaning a huge aspect of my recovery and healing will be in keeping me grounded (this will be difficult for me she said but it is crucial I find a way to do this as it will be beneficial for me). Then I started looking up chakra stuff (music, yoga poses etc). I came across this chart:
Under Root chakra it mentions a few things that I was able to relate to… issues with weight… hip, feet and leg issues, addictions.
Then I read that grounding is crucial for a balanced root chakra.
So… in other words, I feel like this chakra is definitly having issues lol again relating to grounding. Hmmm interesting.
