My challenges of sobriety this week

Hey I’m having a really tough week. I’m currently kicking nicotine while trying to hold onto my sobriety, and the cravings are hitting hard. I’m also trying to support someone I like in her early recovery while navigating feelings for her. Because of the dopamine deficiency from quitting nicotine, I’m experiencing strong physical urges to get closer to her for comfort. I want to keep us both safe, but I’m feeling overwhelmed. Do you have a few minutes to talk or give me some guidance

Im on day 759 with 0 nicotine
I can tell you fro my experience the craving and withdrawal stopps eventually. At this moment for myself, i decline it easily.
You can too. Trust me that the withdrawal will go away

I didnt want to quit nicotine when i did. But i have a child. I had nic replacement activly in my system in the child birth dilivery room.

I would vape everywhere i didnt like it when i was in my quitting days? My vape lit up and lit different coloros and flashed collors. I was smoking ciggs like a chimney.

I dont ever want to go back to that withdrawal. I dont need to go back and i dont want to

Saw this was from a few days ago, but hope you’re doing well. I’ll say this as my piece of advice. One thing at a time. In early recovery the best thing you can do is focus on that. New relationships aren’t recommended honestly and quitting smoking at the same time can be overwhelming for a lot of people. Doesn’t mean they’re impossible to navigate, but it certainly makes it harder trying to juggle 3 things rather than just 1. I know that might be a little tough to hear, but I’ve seen people try to do those things all at once before and get pretty frustrated. Hope that helps and the cravings for things do get less frequent and less intense over time as long as you stay focused. Your mind clears up more and your body starts healing. Wishing you the best
