My first weekend with no alcohol in years

I stopped drinking 5 days ago I stopped smoking cigarettes & weed 28 days ago. This is my first weekend not drinking alcohol I kind of have craving but nothing serious :muscle:t5::muscle:t5::muscle:t5::muscle:t5:

I still get pretty antsy in the evenings, so I make a seltzer water with splash of cranberry over ice to sip on while I take a 10 minute timeout. That helps a lot. I think it’s more of the process of taking a timeout rather than drinking that helps me unwind and squash those cravings.

Keep it up!

Good job! An alcohol free weekend is truly a wonderful thing. You’ll wake up feeling great and ready to take on the day. You may accomplish a lot more this weekend than you have in the past. There are endless possibilities of what a sober weekend can bring. So many more meaningful activities to get involved in.

Thanks & you’re right it’s time to booze in LA. I stay in Encino by a lot of bars but I am just going to sit back and enjoy my night :muscle:t5::muscle:t5::muscle:t5:

Thaanks I appreciate it, I really enjoy this app it has actually made quitting easy. Being able to talk to ppl that understand not being judged has made me powerful beyond measure. I don’t want to drink or smoke anything because I like who I am sober and despise you I am when I am not sober :muscle:t5::muscle:t5::muscle:t5::muscle:t5:

Well done you. Me too, I’m on day 3. Last night was odd, I felt out of place and didn’t know what to do with myself. But today I feel great and proud because I made it

Great first post, Steglon. Sadly, I relapsed totally yesterday - a ten hour binge and some serious injuries as a result.

Whatever you do with yourself, stay sober.

Life is so much more worth living with a clear head.

Welcome @steflon. Three days is awesome! Keep it up!

You’ll have cravings, alcohol is endlessly promoted and it seems that everyone enjoys partaking in the “fun”, and you’re a drunk lol.

Just ride the wave, paddle if you have too but don’t drink and drown.

Keep working it, life is unfathomably better sober in my experience

Well done! Don’t give up!

Cheers, Pants. So far OK, and with my wife more on board with the whole thing now.

Hey @vince,
How are you doing?
