“We have access by faith into this grace in which we stand through him, and we boast in the hope of God’s glory. But not only that! We even take pride in our problems, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”

Love this one. I operate the worship in my Friday night Celebrate Recovery group at church. Played this one last week

Do you ever post on the gratitude topic?
You do have some great positive stuff happening in your life . How about focus on the good stuff today.

I know it is so lame but you can’t go wrong with a smiley face and it is orange my favorite color.

Thank you, I love the picture! I hear ya, but I’m too depressed to find anything good at the moment. I’m just trying to survive one minute at a time. But you’re right, I have lots of good stuff also going on.

@MrMoustache - What we learn in AA and through therapy is coping mechanisms and the power of gratitude. May I suggest that you write down a list of experiences, people, places and state of being, in which gratitude takes a presence in your life. You are RESPONSIBLE for ensuring a constructive mind state. It’s part of your RESPONSIBILITY to take action. Gratitude lists are action oriented and are integral to a healthy mindset.

Thank you. Yes, my therapist has also suggested me to think what I’m grateful for, but right now I’m so deep in this cave that I can’t think straight. I wrote something in the gratitude thread, but my mind is so hazy. I just have to survive one minute at a time.

Morning!
Have been using the Glorify app (free version) for a number of days now. Have been learning alot and feeling more connected to God. Today the topic was on leadership and how we can continue to lead selflessly and make decisions that pleases God.
When feeling overwhelmed or stagnant, these 6 questions can help get us moving again.

These questions help us to focus on what we DO have and how to handle situations in a way that honors God.

Im trying to learn to respond instead of react to situations. And respond in such a way that involves God. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Such a forward, proactive and peaceful topic. Thank you @Butterflymoonwoman for leading us to this important topic. I too support “responding” instead of “reacting”. It’s all how we respond to the situation. This is where pragmatism and coping skills come into being. Using the tools of AA and trusting our HP is pivotal to our success in life. More importantly, being cognizant of how we respond to a situation and others will strengthen our relationship with our HP. I really enjoy your posts. Thanks again!

If it starts with God, it ends in victory!
If it starts with me, it ends in defeat.
When you refocus, God refills
