For me, when I stopped believing in a mean, vengeful “god” who denies us free will, and began to envision a Creator which loves me infinitely more than any earthly parent ever could; one who would never dish out any eternal torment…..Everything changed.

I highly recommend getting “The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ”. It’s all about Jesus, including his “lost years”. It explains so much and meshes perfectly with spirituality, AA and all the non-dogmatic spiritual practices like Buddhism, Daoism.

I can’t recommend it enough.

Highly recommend for anyone interested :latin_cross::two_hearts::folded_hands:

““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30

I am 2 years, and almost 3 months sober. I haven’t checked in on this app in forever. I always think about the people I met here and that were kind when I was going through those first heavy months of hopelessness. I wanted to see if this thread was still here. My one true savior from it all, Jesus Christ my Lord! How he has blessed me for turning away from that dark life. Was and is it easy? No. But life isn’t easy and it’s much easier with his light shining into my garden! This verse is one of my favorites because I never truly understood it before. Now I sure do. I have a SAVIOR! I’m not hopeless anymore! I’m sober! I have a fiancé! I have mended relationships and new ones! God is good! May his name be lifted high! ALL GLORY TO HIM

There was a time when I wanted God to explain everything—the closed doors, the delays, the unexpected endings, and the prayers that seemed unanswered. I kept asking “Why?” when God was teaching me to ask, “How can I trust You here?”

Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding. That’s easier said than done, especially when life feels uncertain. But faith has never been about having all the answers. It’s about knowing the One who does.

Looking back, I’m grateful that God didn’t give me every explanation I wanted. If He had, I might have trusted the explanation more than I trusted Him. Instead, He taught me that His character is more dependable than my understanding.

If you’re in a season where nothing seems to make sense, don’t let unanswered questions steal your peace. God is still good when life is confusing. He is still faithful when the path is unclear. And one day, you’ll realize that what felt like confusion was actually His loving guidance all along.

Sometimes God doesn’t give us all the answers because He’s inviting us into a deeper trust.

I didnt write this but saw this on FB and thought it was really good
