Tonight I asked another addict to be my sponsor. I was so nervous, for no reason at all. She has many years clean, she attends meetings regularly, she has a sponsor, and she still works with steps. I am so excited to take this step in my recovery. I am incredibly grateful that she is willing to take me on as a sponsee. I just needed to share my excitement.
I have 103 days CLEAN; a 3 month Sunday morning coffee commitment; a 2 month Monday night door greeter commitment, and a 1 month Friday night door greeter commitment. I am all in and for once putting my recovery first. This is the longest I’ve ever been clean since I started using.

Congrats on getting a sponsor. Probably without even knowing it you just nailed so many spiritual principles in one interaction. Faith, humility, vulnerability, courage, willingness… I could go on and on, it is that beautiful. Thank you for starting to build a sponsor/sponsee relationship with another addict in Narcotics Anonymous because women keeping women clean is how we do it and in doing that you are keeping the women in my NA meeting clean too. Its a ripple effect, a constant flow of energy, and I am grateful to have you walking beside me on this journey… Its an amazing one.

I too just got a sponsor Tuesday. And going to be doing some step work. And I picked up a Friday night speaker meeting I love. I feel extremely grateful as I continue to build my army. I’m feeling this exciting feeling of relief.
