Nearly 6 years sober

I was out walking my dog,Rocky, today and suddenly realised I’ll be 6 years sober on 24th September. I mean, I knew it was coming up but didn’t realise so soon. I’m so grateful for the path that I’m on, there are still tough days but I’ll take them anytime over my days in addiction. Stay strong everyone. Serenity and prayers to you all :pray::two_hearts:

I hope you intend to do something nice for yourself to celebrate.

I was at a meeting last night and they asked the usual question…is anyone celebrating this month? Someone spoke up and said yes, Lisa is and then it hit me, my 4 years is in a couple weeks. Crazy how fast time has gone by. I couldn’t imagine getting one year, let alone 4 and when I saw your post about 6, I’m like “wow!” that’s amazing.

Thanks hun. I’m thinking a massive slice of carrot cake. That way I think I’m still being kinda healthy aswell as it being my fav :joy:
