Need a sponsor, don't know where to look

Does anyone know where or how to find a sponsor? I’m new to that whole process and not sure what to do. I just know I need some accountability and close-by sources have proved unreliable.

It’s day 1 for me after a pretty bad relapse with porn.

Hi Welcome here.

Please find SLAA meetings if available and otherwise in the rooms might be an option?

I am nog expert on the matter.

@KevinesKay might be able to help out on this subject.

Thanks for the heads up @ThajokerNL

Hello @Azymondias9.33_1220. Fellow porn addict here.

What sources of help have you tried?

Where do you live?

Southern Virginia, and I’ve tried apps, websites, computer hacks, vpns. I live alone and there’s not really anyone I already know that I can ask.

I’m about to bury you in resources at the bottom of my response, but this should be more than enough options. I’m in a similar situation to you, a bit isolated and no one close to turn to. I had to step out of my comfort zone to get better and decide to do whatever it takes. 7 years later I’m still free from acting out with porn and cheating.

My sponsor runs the Focus On Sponsorship phone meeting for SLAA, ever Monday at 8pm ET: 712-770-5537; Code: 754522#. Also there is a list of phone meetings at saatalk.info that run almost 24/7.
