I need to loose weight. I’ve lost 20lbs, but realistically need to loose a further 50lb. I succeeded before attending a well known slimming club. This time, wanting to loose the weight feels different, I’m not sure a slimming club is the answer. Everyone seem to talk about using sins for alcohol etc. Maybe not the best environment at present. Anyone have any insight? Thoughts? I have read alot of people turning to keto?
I am trying intermittent fasting and have 25 lbs to lose and the mobile app I am using is zero on the iPhone it is easy and simple to use
Hey @Shiv79. My hub needed to loose lots of weight a few years ago (I do now but not gonna think about that till next year) he wasn’t to keen on mixing with people and going to a weight watchers group so I got him online, it’s really good! The app is easy to use and now you can take a pic of the barcode on things and it instantly tells you the points instead of having to manually input… wishing you the best of luck lady! keep us posted xx
Yeah I’m trying this aswell I’ve read alot about it and it will fit in nicely with my eating habits.xxand exercise plan.xx
I’ve also tried weight groups but I really don’t rate them ,it’s yet another crutch, for me it was and me and so many others when they stopped the weight went straight bk on and more ,they get you to pay a fee to weigh yourself and get depent on them . deffo not for me this time round.xxdeffo trying 16 .8 as I don’t like eating breakfast anyhow x
Hi Emma My GP recommended The Diet Doctor website, I may give it a go. Its a keto support site with a free trial. Need to get sugar intake under control Keep smiling my lovely, another day tucked under our belts x
Hi @Blondie1x, not sure WW is for me. I did try SW, but the people in classes just go on about booze. The online thing is a good idea if keto doesn’t work x
Proper dieting.
If you want to lose weight, just dieting.
If you want to gain muscle, then any workout program.
Portion control and patience.
I do suggest a tracking app too that reads barcodes, also a kitchen scale until getting a feel of how portions look like. No need to get on a scale. Get a feel through your favorite clothes. Stay away from packaged foods as much as possible. Let it go. Time will give you the results.
Eating is one of the essentials in life to be enjoyed. Obsessing over it doesn’t help. Also, 3-5 lb fluctuations are normal. Again, portions, clothes and patience.
A good diet and some cardio.
I personally don’t recommend Keto. It’s super restrictive and if you ever decide to stop you’ll gain the weight back. I have a friend who lost 100lbs on Keto and is in the process of gaining it back now. I did it for a few months, lost some weight and hated it. I did Body for Life and loved it, lost 35 lbs and kept it off. I’ve also done the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and loved it (with a moderate diet). Just my 2 cents
Great advise, I agree that staying away from the scales & using your clothes + portion control teach you how to feed your body healthy fuel, it’s a slower but more emotionally effective way of life, kinda like 12stepping. My natural obsessive nature isn’t able to engage, which allows me to learn what to eat & emotionally accept that my body is the only one I have and I need to love & respect it like I would an expensive sports car
