I know a lot of people who attend Adult Children of Alcoholic meetings. It’s cool to see someone post from that perspective.

i grew up with a father who was a functioning alcoholic. i don’t resonate with much on the list but i do have the ‘fend for yourself’ mentality. resourceful and never dependent on other people for anything. i’m sure theres much more to me that connects me to my fathers addiction, but i feel blessed to have it not shape so much of who i am.
