Hi. Day 1 here. I’m looking for ideas of social activities you’ve replaced the bar and drinking with. If I’m home and want to get social I’d just head down the street and pull up a chair. I really need something to replace that. I joined a gym but they’re not open at 10pm when you get restless. What have you done to replace the restlessness and need for social activity without relapse?

AA meetings can help if you are not already trying that. You can build a network of sober friends.

Ive been considering book clubs for myselves. Fiction will remove your mind from this world. Plus you may enjoy the social element of others

Running is my vice! I sign up to races so then I have to put the training in. Im just doing 5km or 10km races but it’s a good start
