In the new year I am going to:

  • continue to be sober
  • practice gratitude daily
  • learn more Spanish
  • go some place I’ve never been before
  • maintain a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise and nourishing foods
  • spend as much time in nature as possible

I had a goal to make 2020 the best year ever new decade new goals etc.

I look back I flopped
I’m not living at home
My estranged s/o is not speaking to me
I haven’t been able to reach my family
I ran myself broke paying to change my life.

But I look back, as screwed up as everything went, I made a huge step in sobriety where if I am sober I can do much more than I can wasted

I’m going to stay sober (definitely no more poison for me)
And this year I’m going to focus on ME!
All my life I think about everyone else. I run around like a dick making sure everybody else is ok and has all they need. 2021 for me is going to be about laying foundations to bigger better things. I’m going forward! Sober me is on a mission! HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL… :hugs::pray:t2::two_hearts::partying_face:

Love them or hate them? What is yours?

I’m going to try and track my food with myfitness pal and follow my weight training routine for 50 of the 52 weeks (I’ll leave 2 weeks for vacation).

In recovery I’ve learned to make a new day’s resolution rather than a new year’s resolution. By staying in the day, I can try to do better today than yesterday. Tomorrow I will then try to do better than I did today. It’s all about one day at a time.

That’s it! I have decided! I am on my 7th try when it should have ended on the 5th try. (Honestly, should have ended a long time ago.

So, I am done. I am done using. I am going to do it this time, like come on. It’s the first day of the year, THAT is my motivation. 23 hours and counting. I didn’t even do anything last night but sleep

I am going to try online meetings again to help me keep going.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. YOU CAN DO IT!

Apart from staying sober, does anyone have any new year resolutions?

Most of us probably want to eat better and get fitter but I also want to travel more. I’ve travelled quite a bit but remember very little as it always revolved around alcohol

All going well, i also plan on moving to a new house Inca different city later this year

My only goal in 2021 is continue to love and learn myself.
Read more books
Love people more.
I should probably add trying to add eating better since my heart is going south, nothing drastic just better.
Not really resolutions just some small goals for myself to keep up with.
