Next morning alcohol breath

Anybody get nauseous from the smell of alcohol on someone’s breath after a night of drinking? I can’t even sleep in the same room with my boyfriend anymore when he comes home after drinking. I felt sick in the car driving with him this morning too. I never knew how strong the smell was. Gross. :nauseated_face:

It is disgusting. I tell my husband he stinks if he’s had a few beers and comes to bed. Boy…I must’ve REALLY stunk!! Funny I thought nobody could smell it when I was drinking..what a moron!!:winking_face_with_tongue:

Ugh! I thought I was hiding it with brushing my teeth and a good dose of mouthwash. Now I know I wasn’t fooling anyone. I just had minty wine breath…uck!!:mask:

:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:lol right!

I’m honestly surprised I never got questioned at work now. :flushed_face:

Now that I think about it…I’m sure people knew and just didn’t say anything. Sometimes I would get so drunk the night before that I could almost smell it sweating out of me at work the next day. Then I would be paranoid and would leave work early. I really did my employer a disservice with my drinking! :unamused:

yea it’s pretty gross. i have always had a pretty terrible sense of smell, and never could really smell it others. likely because i’d always have the smell on me anyhow. but now i’m picking up on it and wow is it gross. looking back i can’t believe i was not fired from two of the jobs i’d had in the past as it couldn’t have gone unnoticed. but as it was mentioned i thought i was real slick and nobody could tell haha!

i recently had a friend crash on my couch after a wedding. in the morning his stanky ass breath had filled my living room haha. it made me wonder how my last girlfriend had ever dealt with me. she was a particularly caring and patient person, but waking up to that kind of breath would have been waaaaaay too much for me!

Agreed! Who knew? Just like smoking (former 30+ year one here) …I always thought brushing my teeth, mouthwash and washing my hair I would be fine…nada…clothes and fingers stink and that smell just lingers.

The alcohol smell is nauseating…especially when trying to sleep next to someone.

I get this occasionally on the dance floor and it’s not nice even before it gets stale. Hate to think what mine was like. Passing out right after late night pizza and without brushing teeth didn’t help either.

I’ve had days like that. I’ve had a serious “stomach” issue for years that only seems to happen at work and I have to go home “sick” :woman_facepalming:t4:

I used to smoke as well and I can’t stand the smell of that anymore either. It lingers in your hair for days. Disgusting. I can’t imagine what we smelled like after a night of boozing AND smoking a whole pack!

Crazy how it fills the WHOLE room up right?! Lol Seriously How did I not ever get fired or questioned. Thank my lucky stars. I don’t know all of my ex’s put up with it either :grimacing:

Yeah he probably still had an alcohol reading too high for safe driving.

Didn’t even think about that :flushed_face:
