@Steve92 that symbol would be cool if it was shaded instead of definite lines
Haha - I think Samuel L. wrote that while @Melrm was having her eyebrows done!
Meh. I think itâs a matter of perspective. Art is after all very subjective. You might see âshoddyâ and the person who got it really loves it, and finds meaning in their tat.
Or they were high af and got a hello kitty tat for some reason they canât remember. But you know, perspective, lol.
How 'bout that and the quote âto thine own self be true?â I kinda like it!
Iâm also looking for a new tattoo, I got my last one (Japanese symbols for ânever give upâ) about 4 years ago and the price around here has risen so much since!
I love the quote âRock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my lifeâ
I love the semi-colon idea: it is used when a writer could have ended the sentence but chose not to. In terms of mental health it means that you carried on living when you things got bad. Can definitely relate to that one
Every time I hear that quote I picture Bill Murray saying it. He played Polonius in my favorite movie adaptation of Hamlet (2000).
Not sure about the states, but over here the semicolon tattoo is often seen as a symbol for someone who survived a suicide attempt or fought against suicidal thoughts. Itâs a cool tattoo, but people might misinterpret it if thatâs not the idea youâre going for.
@Robin yep, thatâs what I thought too. Iâm sure it can be interpreted different ways.
Got this bad boy when I turned 30 and left a 15 year relationship with an alcoholic

That is gorgeous!!!
I think in general semi colon is exactly what you said âsurviving suicidal thoughts or attemptsâ, âmy story isnât over yet ideologyâ etc . Addictions can be seen as a form of slow suicide/selfharm so in my view its very fitting. I have this tattoo as a symbol to stopping poisoning my body.
I like a dragonfly symbol and what it represents so Iâm looking for inspirational ideas to create one. Any creative people on here?
@JustL I tend to like watercolor tattoos. (Also I have one). They tend to work well with flying things. When I was finding references for my artist I saw a lot of watercolor birds that looked like they were bursting into flight. Perhaps that would also work for a dragonfly. I know their wings work completely differently but Iâm sure there is a way to make it work.
Hey I was wondering can u help me out w this whole thing I just downloaded app thank you
