No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another

Why do you keep coming back??

Is it because you feel with your number of days under you, that you know it all and want to share what has worked for you?

Is it because you’ve woken up one day and know in your heart you can’t go on like this but the mind the mind doesn’t know how to??

Maybe this is your sounding board as we all know that addiction that some people in Real life though supportive just don’t get it??

Whatever keeps you coming here don’t stop, one of your life stories might just make the next addict put down their posion.

I applaud the person who has 1,2,3 hell 35 years of sobriety but I also applaud the person who puts down their DOC and tries to attempt sobriety for one day.

Don’t knock a place where we feel safe, give it the praises it deserves!
Dont knock a person for trying x

There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”
When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.
You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.

Oh Danni - this is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I can identify with so much of this - my heart knew it couldn’t go on the way I was for a longggg time, and it wasn’t until I found this forum that I had the support to make the changes I needed to.

This one’s gonna be bookmarked so I can go back to it!
And don’t you go anywhere please! You are a daily example of honesty, courage, and grit. Big hugs and love to you! :orange_heart:

Beautiful sentiment, so much truth and life in your words. Thank you. Same goes for you, keep coming back. I know I plan to. I don’t know any other way to be right now and be sober, and that works for me today. :two_hearts:

Wow, that made me feel worse than usual… I guess that I fall into the “useless” category then.
Sounds about right…

I love this. Thanks so much for sharing Danni. I love how you are fighting for yourself, growing and learning, and how you’re giving it back here. I’d say this probably mainly is my sounding board. I know some of my stories help others too and that makes me happy. And @anon27700620 will you stop this! Nobody is useless here. And you aren’t for sure. You’ve become quite a force actually. Thanks for being here. All in our own ways.

You nailed it Danni. “Where there is love, there is always time” - and when we reach out in love to another, or to ourselves; where we are kind and gracious and generous and grateful - those are the times we become our best selves, and they’re the times we are true and powerful.

We are mighty when we are humble enough to learn and to be kind and grateful. Thanks for sharing about that here :innocent:

I love that! Well said!

Great post Danni! I always say this is a “we” program because I couldn’t do this without all the help from people like you. We need to keep lifting each other up. Thank you for being such a positive influence on our TS family.
