Comming clean today
Yesterday i took 1 hit of pot after 86 days with nothing. Just 1 hit.
It smelt gross and wife is mad. Shes not mad becsuse i smoked. Shes mad because while i was looking for it i gave her attitude for not remembering where she put it. I got all paranoid that shd didnt want me to have any snd wouldnt tell me where it was.
Anyway that doesnt matter
I just wanted you to know ehat happened

Glad you managed to stop before it became a worse situation. When our cravings are raging we turn into the worse versions of ourself. I remember getting so mad when my kids were babies and they wouldn’t sleep when I wanted to start drinking.
The cravings just lasted days snd i craved so bad and got so grumpy i got dizzy snd a upset stomach. So i was super uncomfortable just craving and craving.
I could have fought it until…
I asked my wife if it shed get mad if i did it.
The second i said “would you be upset if i did it” came out of my mouth it was all over
I would have had a chance if i just didnt say anything
Remember you should not use for yourself, not to avoid being scolded by your wife. No matter how much you love your wife (or in my case kids) you can only get sober or clean for yourself.
Did you share on here you were craving? Go to a meeting? Journal about it? Just white knuckling rarely works. You gotta analyse the craving and choose sobriety.
I think tossing the rest of it out is a good idea. Can’t easily puff if it’s not close. You’re kicking ass on booze & nicotine, question is are you done with weed? Hope so, as if you keep dabbing in it you and I both know the chances of going back out on the others is a lot higher.

Oh no .well done for owning it I knew you did when you stopped replying last night, never mind what’s done is done . You need to figure out what’s making you so stressed you wanted to use again to feel better otherwise when it happens again you might pick it up again .cravings are normal I guess it’s what you do with those cravings that will sort the outcome .Imo get rid of the paraphernalia and definitely the weed .I chucked my bong in a public bin 20 miles away from my village in case this happened. good luck mate onwards and upwards hopefully you’ve learnt something . Years ago when I tried to get sober i asked my ex if he minded me having a half an I was right back to where I started .we have to own our sobriety for ourselves not asking partners if they mind .don’t let the shit in
This will happen over and over again until you actually start to work on your sobriety. White knuckling can get you about 90 days. Working a program of recovery can get you a lifetime

Remember that nasty taste – i know it is easy to forget so make yourself a note(s), leave yourself a voicemail or a video message – it sometimes hits home harder during the cravings when you hear from yourself.
Do not let that one hit turn into a full blown mess – You got to 86 days and can get that and more again. Keep fighting my friend.
