Lots of seltzer! That’s my go-to and I might add a lemon or lime slice. I also like to find unique sodas / ones made with real sugar when I want a treat, but I try not to get them too often. When I first quit drinking I would do Mexican coca-cola occasionally but I cut back on that to keep it more special. I don’t need the sugar.
I really love making mocktails for fun. Check out Fees Brothers — they make N/A bitters in a million flavors which is really fun for experimenting.
I have their black walnut bitters. I used to use it in drinks… what do you think it would go good with now? I have no idea theirs was non alcoholic. It makes it exciting that I can still use it to make tasty things!
I love their black walnut butters! I use them for autumnal mocktails. Try adding them to apple cider. I have also used them in combination with cranberry juice.
Yes! Last year I did something like part apple cider, part soda water, black walnut bitters, orange slice. You can do it over ice and add a dash of cinnamon/nutmeg or put a cinnamon stick in it. So good. Have fun experimenting!
So I made it tonight, I agree, just a little pickle juice, I also muddled fresh jalapeño which was a great choice, my husband and mom both wanted to switch out their drink for it
