Today makes 39 days sober. One thing I noticed after I got over the hump of withdrawal symptoms is that old knee and back injuries were being numbed and I hadn’t noticed how bad they have gotten over the years of being drunk nearly all day, everyday. I also learned that peripheral neuropathy is a thing.

Nice one making it to 39 days! What a solid effort. Those aches and pains seem to pop up out of nowhere, once we can feel again. I have strong lower back pain that wasn’t noticeable in my previous drunken state. Hopefully you find some relief for that and peripheral neuropathy. Welcome aboard!
