Online support meetings

Whats a really good online meeting? I read the post aboit resources, id like to hesr based on experiance. Im intimidated to go to in person. Virtual is easier right now with my kids and not driving right now!

I love The Luckiest Club. Huge online community founded by Laura McKowen. I also do virtual and in person meetings with my AA homegroup. I’d love to hear others experiences as well as I like to change things up.

Anyone participating in Recovery 2.0?

I like Soul Sisters, women only and not addiction specific. Meetings are Sunday, Tues, Wed and Friday nights hosted on intherooms.com where you only turn your camera on when you want to share, otherwise you sit back and listen. I like it because you can get to know people thru shares and private messages before deciding who you want to share your phone number with and carry on communication in real life.

On that same platform there’s also Global Steps Alcoholics Anonymous with 60+ meetings a week.

Here’s the link. Go ahead and create an account and give it a try.

Theres an awesome beginners AA meeting i found. They focus on steps 1 2 and 3. They have a positive energy and celebrate everyones day count with shoutouts and music. This was huge for me i looked forward to the shoutout. Every night 8pm central

@LeeHawk whats recovery 2.0? Never heard of it

Definitely look them up online but lots of yoga and well-being fused with the 12 steps. Free online meetings.

Ohhh that sounds fun

Think someone else might have said it, but in the rooms is purely phenomenal, I used it many times when I needed a meeting and right in that moment. They run them on the hour.

They used to have a weekly zoom here, might have went to the wayside with people being busy but a great group of people who will let you in, welcome you, no structure tho, it’s general check ins, wellness and helping with issues, when I say no structure it’s more of not like an AA meeting more of fellowship of sorts, hosts generally apply forum rules so it’s not crazy out of hand

Thanks for the information! I keep making excuses on why I can’t go but doing virtual meetings would work
