Only one can judge! God

Every single person is the way that they are for a reason. Not one of us come into this world with the mental capability of knowing who we are or what we are “suppose” to do.

We learn that as we go.

Some are even actually trained to be a certain way,
That’s literally all they have ever known.

From whatever human or source that is there.

It doesn’t justify the bad decision that we make nor does it does it mean that we shouldn’t receive the proper consequences for our actions. But it is the key factor into actually helping that person.

We are all of God’s children!

Take a criminal for instance:

You see a punk who has no goals set higher than his next scroll through the local trash.
Has a track record for days, one charge after another.

Enemy’s everywhere, because he’s shady and he is skiddish,
He is also very mean and angry toward everyone.

He is controlling and standing from “your shoes” he seems to be cool with where he is standing at in life.

What you don’t see:

Is the meth pipe that his mom and/or dad handed him at the age 10 or 11 as an answer to all of his pain.

He was not even done growing or maturing.

Or how about his love for animals that is beyond words and amazingly beautiful;
that he shows them because they are loyal.
They have never hurt him like the insults of a human or the aches of a handed down addictive life.

The derogatory remarks of how worthless and useless he is because he isn’t doing good enough, but absolutely no proof in the world around him that is even an option.

The more hurt he holds in the angrier he gets.

No one let’s him no he needs to release it, to ease it.

Consequences are there for a reason,
to correct the bad behavior.

Not to condemn a person because “your” judgment says that they are not worthy.

Jesus died on the cross to save all of us! None of us are perfect and God knew that in the beginning and never expects us to be in the end.

This is an abstinence forum, not a religious one.

If religion helps you quit why not use it. Personally I am not really into it

I would delete it if i knew how but my point is directed more at the fact that no one has the right to judge some one because they dont know why they are that way

Im also not religous. Religion is man made. I am spiritual. I thought this place was for support? If you dont like it all ypu have to do is continue to read on, this might help some one else

Just a reminder that this forum is open to people of all religions, and also agnostics/atheists.
If you feel like a thread doesn’t fit your values, please scroll by or mute. You can do the same for a member that doesn’t jive with you.
Also remember to keep the forum tidy by posting similar things on one thread.
Thanks to all for keeping the forum civil.

Not to condemn a person because “your” judgment says that they are not worthy. Love this :ok_hand: I need to do more of it :open_mouth:

I think the point with @Dirk answer might have been that posts like this belongs in the threads with the same subject.

It might help for some that’s true, other people here have different believes or are non believers for various reasons.

For what I can see you’re new here, and this is the second post about Jesus, that actually might be interpreted in a very religious way. Personally I’m not sure that you can claim being spiritual or when you post about how God and Jesus is the one and only savior, and has indeed saved you.

This forum is very inclusive, many of us try to read new posts and welcome new members, some have no problem with the idea of a higher power. Others might prefer to not get it pushed in their face. New posts and unread posts pops up in the feed no matter if you read them or not you can still see the “headline”/ name of the post. Which in some cases can be just as triggering ad the post itself. Everyone of us have different backgrounds, and different approach to this.

My advice would be that you take your time to scroll around, read around to find the threads that vibes with you.

For most of us, sobriety goes far beyond abstinence. For me specifically it went far past not drinking. For example, early on in my sober journey I had so much free time intially that I taught myself how to scratch cook. My beloved animals became service animals to me. I found healing in Buddhist teachings.

My point being: 1) most of us found sobriety footholds in things other than abstinence…and in our new sober excitment wanted to share this new life, 2) if one is to judge a thread on its content, then we probably should judge all of them, not just the one’s we are uncomfortable with.

@LookUpChild2024 if posting about beliefs are keeping you sober…i hope you continue

 Amen: doing great sweetheart

Two things to add:

  1. To @MrsOdh’s point, it’s pretty difficult to claim that you are not religious when you speak of God and Jesus.
  2. It’s all well and good until someone includes ‘الله اكبر’ (‘Allahu Akbar’ aka God is great) in a post, right?

@Dirk
Speaking as a mod, if you don’t like this thread please scroll by or mute. The op can be as religious as she likes on her own thread.
There is a dedicated atheist thread too.
Sober without god. An atheist / agnostic / humanist thread. Please be respectful!
Both kinds of threads are welcome here so long as supporters of opposite sides don’t bother each other.
