I got talking to a lady who is a resident on the street and out of curiosity asked her why they done it,she said the residents had been asking the council for years to either get rid of them or trim them but said she werent expecting them to be cut back so much,the main reason for the complaints about them was pigeon muck on their cars ![]()
Driving thru West London at the weekend, I was admiring the pollarded London Plane trees. You know they were planted because they thrive and survive in pollution. I wonder if yours are these?

Dali is one of my favorite painters. I was in Figueras years ago to visit his museum. Love to go back some day.

They got lots of artichokes too. But many have been harvested already.
Views like this every day for almost 5 yrs, but there are moments where it captivates me just as much as it did when I first moved here.

Last day here. This beach is the only thing I’ll miss. I could float in that water all day long. I loved turning my back to the beach and just look at how vast the ocean (gulf) was, and how truly tiny we really are.
