Gorgeous and my very favorite color.

Isn’t Astoria where the “goonies” came from? I want to go there someday. Jason Great great pictures.

Riding on the rail trails of northern Vermont today.

I had a stand-off with this guy along the way.

Black Creek rapids, Sheldon, VT

Only in Ireland have I seen more variations of green.

Active osprey nest - one of the parents swooped down into the river to catch a fish and came up empty.

Missisquoi River, Sheldon VT. Canada is 10 miles upstream. And the river flows north, we are just above the 45th parallel.

Drove up to Gilbert, Arizona after work. A city-suburb of Phoenix. Not the city I live in, but same state and just a few hours north.

@waywardwanderer I was making a long drive through the desert last night and you crossed my mind. How are you guys enjoying your new home here in Arizona? :cactus::sun_with_face: (they really need to make a sun emoji with an angry face for Arizonans)

Hahaha that’s the best Mario!! Thanks so much for checking in! I saw you were in Gilbert, we live close by actually! Such a fun place. Hope you had a good time!

We are both enjoying it. We lucked out on a great location super close to trails in the Tonto national forest and Usery Park. I may be an eternal optimist-but actually loving the sunshine :sun:, early mornings, mountain scapes, and all of the wildlife and plant life. The people we have met have been so friendly, and our cat is having a blast as well! We could see ourselves here for a very long time :desert::two_hearts:

Gilbert was great, I have yet to spend much time at all in the cities surrounding PHX proper, other than passing through on the highway. Think I’ll go to Scottsdale next.

Glad you guys are enjoying it, looks like you’re in a great spot. Your cat has one of the best views a cat can get! You are right, the sun/heat is really not that bad. Coming from MA, I could definitely feel a difference in how it feels on my skin - but other than that, it’s much more tolerable than I had imagined before I moved. Love going out for walks in the mid-day heat.

If ya’ll are ever headed down this way, feel free to reach out!
