Personally, I think continuing to mimic the real thing is going to drive your cravings up and can undermine your sobriety. We’re trying to create a new lifestyle for ourselves, not keep the same old one just minus one ingredient.
Over 4 years sober and probably bc if it ever got that bad there was the odd occasion where a non alcoholic lager just took the edge off a bit, like a placebo, but for a long term solution what’s the point your not going to get drunk and still waste all your money.
I still have 1 glass about every 6 months when I go out for a steak and I consider the taste a treat, a luxury but that’s just me. Different people will react different to that taste and it could well lead down a dodgy road but if it’s crunch time and you can’t find any other way to not pick up that bottle then surely alcohol free anything must be better than alcohol something.

Although I enjoyed all types of beverages for me red wine was something I craved. I tried many times to replace my red wine and found that because I couldn’t match the taste I always ended up relapsing.

Now (I’m going on 22 months sober) I do enjoy a 100% 0 alcohol beverage (I don’t trust the 5% ones). Not more than one per night and usually it’s like once a month)
If you are looking to drink a NA beverage as replacement for the real thing then I would stay away but for just enjoying a beverage then I would say its safe.
