Poetry of her

In honor of my sobriety anniversary coming around here’s a poem I wrote, I’ve always wrote poems

She saw days she thought she couldn’t face

Days came and went, facing pain that words couldn’t even describe, pain taught her harder days were ahead, tears she cried but never shared because who would care, who would listen to an alcoholic!?!

Shame was shoved into a bottle like tylenol pm,washed down with no food because who needed food anyway when all she saw was sugar in a bottle and no reason to celebrate being alive!

What kept her going the first personal loss of a child, yeah how easy right, you can always have another, you’ll get over it,that she did not get over in fact it broke her with a smile,no one asking did you want a child to begin with and that became her story a love she couldn’t deny but a pain she continued to bury,no one saw her fall to her knees as she saw a child you carried put in the ground!

the world always got one piece of the story, the day she found her sober self is when she became her own purpose, her own story to rewrite, her own love story and that’s where her villian origin story began :scorpio::purple_heart::sunflower:

For some reason I can’t leave a reaction, so just wanted to say it was very moving. Thank you for sharing this. :hugs:
