Actually it’s a he! But yes, he’s really cool. In fact I wasn’t going to adopt him, I was only going to foster because I have another ex-street cat at home since 2 months, and she’s really scared, in fact I can’t touch her. So my idea was to get Toffee out of her shell with the little monster. She’s actually improving, starting to come out etc… but after day one with Moka, I had already decided to keep him! So now I have 2 cats! One “autistic” cat, and one little thunderstorm!
15 years! Wow! My previous cat, Sky, was also from the street, picked her up as a baby, she had a great life for 15 years!
10 characters so I can post.
What a cutie
I can’t remember the last time we didn’t have pet steps to our bed. And sometimes even to our couch. They use them eventually.
Just wish I could get Minnie to use the steps going down. That’s when the jarring of her joints will bother her. Jumping down.
Still wiped out from her walk 3 hours ago.
We don’t really have space for them so my husband built a makeshift step, she never used it. But I am okay for now lifting her up and then she stands up, usually navigating out from under the sheets, shakes and flaps her ears, and it gives me time to talk to her and see if she wants down or just to reposition. Works for now. We will likely end up with steps and she’ll figure them out.
Can’t blaim him or her , beautifulll
Toffee is beautiful too.

We already had 4 cats when someone put her in our dumpster on our first trash day at our new home. I guess it was meant to be.
Alice today
Having Moka with Toffee sounds like a good plan. Although Toffee doesn’t look to happy in that pic. I bet it works. Good luck.
What is up with all of these cats being left in dumpsters?! Ugh! She hit the lottery finding a home with you. How old is Minnie? I love labs. Just the bestest.
Minnie was a rescue. Is. She’ll be 15 this fall. But it’s anyone’s guess. Our vet said she was 2, like they always do, when she rescued us in 2009. My math might be a little fuzzy. But my wife says Minnie is almost 15. Who am I to argue
I guess she’s some kind of yellow lab mix. Maybe some greyhound because she can/could run like the dickens.
So adorable
Wow! Beautiful dog and… where are you? It’s stunning
We are in the mountain valley of Tirol, Austria. Not quite our beloved Highlands of Scotland but trying to get the dogs aquainted to mountain walking first of all, they are loving it here. Mountains are gorgeous here.
Continental Europe - the Swiss / German / Austrian parts anyway - is stunning for these kinds of places. I’ve never been to Europe but if and when I do go, I want to take in some of these landscapes. I’ll add Tirol to my list!
Toffee is very unhappy, today I went to the vet with Moka and asked her opinion on the situation. We’ll see… maybe I will have to give her back…
Today the lady I adopted Moka from told me the entire story; they actually rescued him last minute from a satanic ritual… As you said… humans are disgusting sometimes!
There is absolutely no way you can give him back.
Look at that face. Whatever it is with the 2 cats, you can make it work. Give it time.
I honestly would have preferred not to have read the entire story about Moka. It might be nice to go back and edit that part by putting trigger warning animal abuse. before it. I totally get why you shared and now that I think about it maybe my share about the dumpster I could have put that warning too. Just a thought. I’m not mad at you or anything. It just brings me to tears reading something like that. But it is good to share. God Bless.
I love the Queens vacay
Have you got a really cute doggie pack to carry them in when they get tired of hiking. Or do they just hike all that along with you? So cute.
Post edited! I don’t want to give Toffee back, I always said I’m gonna make this work, but this is about the animal, not about myself. If she’s unhappy, then I need to make a decision. We’ve done some little steps forward though lately! Yesterday she came out, and spent some time in the guest bedroom… we’ll see see!
Aye I shelled out on a high quality dog backpack for them, you can see Pompeija in it on the selfies thread. Need to be careful not to overdo it with them and gradually build up their stamina. They have wee legs and can’t walk in the sun with their black coats but love love to scramble up forresty trails!
Yes definitely about the animal. I’ve always been blessed with the time and means and my wife and me as a team to always have made “it” Whatever that might be work. Like you said. Baby steps. Or little steps. I hope it works out for y’all.
It is tricky introducing new young kittens. And time consuming.
Good luck.
