Love your Shepherds, just love the breed. I have one, who is my big baby (110 lbs, floppy earred and long haired), Wyatt. This his him with his big brother, Henry a few nights ago.

I also had another when I was married to my ex. His name was Murdock (after Howlin Mad Murdock from The A Team…) he was a great dog. Unfortunately when my ex and I divorced (early 2012) I had no way to take him so he stayed with my ex. Then I got the dreaded call that he was in Bloating (late 2012)… ugh! We lost him when he was 12. If I can find a pic I’ll share it of him.

Your dogs are amazingly beautiful!

Daddy took me back to Tractor Supply and this time I got to see the ducklings. Before leaving, the nice cashier gave me treats.

It’s such a a horrible emergency. My ex’s gf at the time (now wife) is a vet and actually my hubby (my bf at the time) is also a vet so our boy was in good hands, but he died on the drive to my hubby’s clinic. They were going to do what they could, but he didn’t make it that long. It was pretty devastating as I wasn’t able to say goodbye nor be with him when he slipped away.

Now our current Shepherd, Wyatt has had plenty of surgeries one in which he had eaten a foreign object and thus needed surgery. We took him to a specialist and they tried scoping him, but they couldn’t get whatever he had ingested so in they went. While they had his stomach opened up we had his stomach also tacked because hubby and I definitely do not want to go through one of (if not the worst) medical emergencies ever again if we can help prevent it from happening!

But, WOW that is truly a success story about your Rottie. The success rate is pretty low sadly. Your parents sound like fantastic folks! My parents helped me a great deal too, but unfortunately they were just never dog people although they loved him, so they helped in different ways. Big huge shout out to all the wonderful and helpful parents everywhere!

If we don’t end up having to do this for Maggie I will be amazed. She eats so much random stuff off the floor  how did you know surgery was needed, did he stop pooping?

That’s like Chief whenever I take him to the pet supplies store! Have to make sure we stop by to see the parakeets and guinea pigs.

Oh boy, I hope that won’t be needed for your dog! But he was vomited and not eating. Hubby took some X rays and thought he could see something, but it wasnt definitive at that moment, so he took the X rays to the surgical specialists and it just snow balled. He wasn’t getting any better and he was definitely obstructed. This is what they pulled out of his stomach… we really lucked out!

LOL at Pet Smart they put the doggy toys at THEIR eye level. So Sady knows exactly where they are and goes straight for that aisle! Lol She picks her own new “baby” whenever we go there! I never told her no…damn she’s spoiled!

I remember the first time @littlemisschatterbox posted a pic of Poppi. I thought it was some kind of fur puppet on her arm. I really didn’t know what it was
