She seems to enjoy my balcony, that’s her spot. She gets food and water, and will usually rest under the wicker loveseat for a bit and give herself a bath

There are so many people in my neighborhood that let their cats roam free. It drives me crazy. You know what we also see in our neighborhood a lot? Coyotes. You know why I don’t like cats? Because I found 98% of my cats in the mountains, 1/2 eaten by coyotes, or a tail or something. It was horrible.
They chuckle in the neighborhood app and tell people not to be so sensitive, that their cat is happy being outside. Well, your cat is going to get eaten or hit by a car. Grrrr.

The three kittens I rescued were born of a local stray cat. A few people in the neighborhood trap cats and have them neutered and released. This female and a few toms have been hard to trap. Or so I’m told. We have coyotes in this area, too. Only indoor kitties for me!
I’ve enjoyed reading all your posts about doggy DNA results and suspicions on the breeds in their beautiful mutts. We did a test on Lupe and she is (no surprise) primary American Staffordshire Terrier (my mini pittie!) but also a good percentage Shar Pei! Her skin is super loose in spots and her face was more wrinkly as a pup They also said she had DNA from breeds in the “sporting breeds” category, which makes a lot of sense from her behavior. Fun stuff.
So cozy. I wish I could take a selfie that looked like that right now.
You and I both. It’s getting cold here in the mornings. Heat on, usually bundled up until 9. Then it’s warm enough to open the windows, heat off, unbundle.
But in the mornings…yeah I want in Chief’s nest.
Plus part heartbreaker
And also feisty and full of sass!
Here is shot from our webcam of me trying to wrangle this 90-pound goofball from trying to get the over-friendly barn kitty who came to front of house for the first time he is STRONG
OMG!!! Gunny does that EVERY time. He just grabs whatever he can get on the way out. Which is a lot…this place looks like a doggie day care! Most recently it was Amputee Iron Man!
I LOVE that! My dream is to have my tux and golden to be best buddies!
That’s her most prized squeak. It is the ONE that evades her She normally gets it out within a day. We have had this one for almost a YEAR!!!
