She was hunting! She tracked one down too and was so proud of herself. I was screaming like a little child and Fox was just confused and trying to comfort me. It was quite an ordeal
Happy gotcha day to Haley Jane!
I rescued her 7 years ago and the vet put her to be between 3-4 and very malnourished.
Puppy mala model
Hahaha it’s crooked, like her personality.
She may be crooked from time to time but she cute
Look at that sweet face
Awesome smile
Chesney playing in the snow with her football! She goes crazy when we have snow! I love her so very much.
Chesney reminds me so much of Rue. What kind of dog is she? The adoption place told me she was mostly German pointer. But I’m always curious
That’s funny, because they told us Chesney was red heeler and German short haired pointer. Keely had her DNA ran last year, and it came back with Rottweiler, red heeler, and among others, Mexican street dog! I think she got the best out of all the breeds she’s made up of.
What a beautiful creature
Thanks.
Here’s my old boy Max. I had him 16 years. He found me abandoned at a work site. I already had 2 dogs. I tried so hard to get rid of him and find him a home. I just couldn’t bring him to the Pound He ended up being my best friend ever. I still miss him
Max and a rare snowfall in Austin.
Back yard in Durango
And a much younger Minnie, and Benson in Durango
Haha that is really funny. I’m pretty sure Rue is just a big hound dog. I think mutts are the best puppies honestly. When I’m walking her downtown random guys in pickup trucks will roll down their windows and say “ he’s a hunting dog” and I always respond with she’s a city dog!
So much cuteness Max looked like such a good boy.
Ya he was.
He could tell time. He always knew when it was 4pm. That was snack time. He caught on so quickly and any afternoon, if we weren’t giving him snacks at 4, he’d start whooo whooo whoooing at us. We always knew when it was 4 pm. He was so smart.
Max is a beauty. I’m glad you had that time with him. Minnie has Chesney’s stance! She and Benson are adorable.
Rue has definitely got cattle dog in her. Her coat looks just like a red heeler’s. When we’re hiking, a lot of folks say how pretty Ches is and ask what breed she is. We just say she’s a red heeler mix, mostly mix.
Ches’s ears make me SO happy. I looked up Red Heelers and I think you are right. She definitely has all of those mannerisms too. She is a big girl almost 70 pounds and tall. I should do the test to find out her puppy heritage.
