I’m not sure about the red heeler after seeing these photos of her, but when they’re a mix it’s a little harder to tell. Her ears and eyes, plus the markings on her coat, do look like a German shorthaired pointer. It would be interesting to know her dominant breeds. She’s such a cutie. That last shot!

We’re talking about Rue. 
She’s a mixed breed like Chesney, but she definitely looks like she’s got coonhound in her. My dog (Chesney) has a much smaller percentage of red heeler than Rottweiler and a couple other breeds, but she got all the coloring of a red heeler. When they’re mixed and their lines aren’t documented, a DNA test is the only way to know.
They’re both adorable.

Waiting our turn at the vets. Just investigating a cough, most likely kennel cough, as she had a bad spell of it recently and it’s come back.

Stella every guy who see’s her tells me she’s a hound dog. The vet told me she was German pointer. I bet she has a little coonhound, I think I’m going to get her DNA test.

TMAC…does Chief make a lot of noise? Crazy barking/whining/complaining? Like other French Bulldogs? (And Huskies!!) Are you familiar the social media sensation Walter?
Never ever. He never did much from the start, but I discouraged it when it would happen randomly as a puppy. If he really needs something (outside, playtime, dinner, etc) he just comes and stares at me.
Never whines. Only barks if I rile him up on purpose or if he gets startled by a knock at the door or something like that which triggers “high alert” mode. Even then, it’s a very short burst and not ongoing.
He’s a Boston Terrier! That mix-up happens almost daily though 
Don’t really participate in social media, so I am not familiar!

Please give Chief my apologies!! My lack of knowledge on dog breeds is shining bright. Whatever the breed, he is a GREAT dog. Boston Terrier…that explains why he is cool. I’m a Bostonian!
