Tis the season for Lupe’s buffalo plaid coat on rainy fall days. We had a pleasant (albeit quite wet) walk today.

Yes, those are birch trees. We have nothing but birch, spruce, pine with aspen, rowan, alder and some others. Willow.
Some fun facts:
Sauna benches are made from aspen. Birch is one of the rare trees that can survive on the northern top of the country, just barely tho. It’s called a dwarf birch. One tough mothertrucker.

Little phoebe can only roll in the grass once now but im so happy she did today. She will be 14 on the 14th of this month. Shes plugging right along still. It warmed my heart to see her roll on the grass in the sun.

We got stuck in a downpour today. No coat for either of us. The result? Wet Dog Smell. We have a bath planned for Sunday, so that’s OK.
