That is absolutely stunning. My 11 y/o would love that. He loves everything about old castles, fortresses and history. He’s high functioning autistic so he memorize a lot of things like that. Thank you so much for the pictures, I’m going to show him them all. :blush::cherry_blossom:

Yes you can visit it , there is actually a train tunnel running under the castle you can see it under the castle

Wow, that way we can combine two cool things at once. My 11 y/o as I said loves history like that, and my 9 y/o has a train/railroad obsession. Is it tricky to go by train?

Not really but it depends where you coming from , the train tracks run along the beach

I did not take this photo but this little fir tree is famous and very symbolic on the island. There have been thousands of photos taken of it and its been named " the tree on the lake", Fairy Lake to be precise. People have been protesting the mass logging of old growth trees at Fairy Creek for some time now, recently 6 people were arrested. It’s sad to see our forests be taken down… it’s where I find my peace… my little bit of heaven. So there sits a tiny little Douglas fir growing from what must be a root from some old growth tree as hundreds are being taken from the forest around it.
