This is the Eagle Creek Wilderness in Oregon, it burned in 2017 from a devastating forest fire, but its back open and beautiful as ever!
These are so good.
The painterly look is a favorite of mine, too. These are amazing! Congratulations on doing what you love.
Love your photos and clips. Been checking out your YouTube channel. Good luck with all you are doing, very inspirational
Gorgeous!!! In photos of eagle creek before the fire it looks even more similar to that, so green. I just love waterfalls!
They are just incredibly peaceful. I love any Riverside/lake as well. Happy places.
Oh wow, thatās amazing. It is such a beautiful place, probably stays with people.
WOW!!! Incredible work!!! U have talent!!!
First day of Autumn here, looking forward to getting out with the camera to capture some of these colours again
The herring are starting to run so the amount of seal and sealion in our bay are amazing. I was driving down the street and noticed a bunch of flippers poking randomly out of the water. Guess it was siesta time.
Awesome dude! As always love your vids and pics. I wanted a new hobbie for myself so I went out and got a drone. Def inspired by your work. Went with the Dji mini 2. Start out small right? I got it last Friday but have not had a chance to try it out yet. My first goal with it will be not to crash it while I learn how to use it. Then the plan is to take it on my hikes up in the mountains. Wish me luck!
Bye for nowā¦
Thanks @ShesGotMoxie @Tragicfarinelli @Seb @Butterflymoonwoman @JB.5280
@JB.5280 Get the care refresh. Iāve used it twice with the mavic2 Its worth it. If you havenāt flown it yet, you can get it. I had a minor crash on the beach and sand got in the gimbal. It got sticky, and I couldnāt get it working right. Another time a bird hit me and caused me to crash. That crash broke an arm and the gimbal. They replaced it with a brand-new drone.
The fly away insurance I was disappointed with. They release these drones unfinished. They update the firmware after their release. when I first got the Mavic2 it became unresponsive and ended up crashing in the water and I couldnāt recover it. It was new and the firmware was an early version.
When I tried to claim it, I was denied. It was windy and my flight log had noted the wind. They used it as the reason they wouldnāt replace it. Even though I was flying in an area protected from the wind when it happened. These drones do really good in the wind.
They should have all the bugs worked out of the mini 2. It looks like a fun drone.
The mavic3 is still buggy. I flew it from the boat again, and it became unresponsive. We had to turn around and rescue it. It was scary. Thatās twice I flew it from the boat while it was moving and both times were close calls.
I ordered some pontoons for it just in case. Care refresh only works if you can get the drone back.
Watch out for Canadian geese. They hate drones. It was an Oyster Catcher bird that attacked my drone and caused the crash. They really hate drones. It chased me down relentlessly.
I should have just went for the care refresh as soon as I activated and ran the firmware updates. Thanks for the advice! Iāll see if I can still get it since I have not flown it yet. You must be fully stoked with the mavic3 that thing is so awesome amazing tech and camera!!
I didnāt even think about angry birds lol!! Speaking of birds, and adding to the recent eagle pics, I will repost this from last octoberā¦
Bye for nowā¦
Awesome shot!
Iām super stoked with the Mavic3 I wasnāt going to get it because I felt the air2s was plenty of camera for my YouTube channel. It is. I kept seeing the footage the Mavic3 was putting out. The low light abilities is what got me.
I waited until the firmware updates came out. I was still making ok money crabbing. I have the money I need for my boat stashed away, so I bought it. No buyers remorse. I love it!
Itās hard to not want to keep up with the newest cameras. Iām a Canon guy. I invested in quality Canon lenses years ago. Sony has become better than Canon. Itās tempting to switch over, but the costsā¦
Sony has some amazing drones capable of carrying full camera bodies allowing the ability to change lenses. Its big! The battery life on the drone is only ten minutes. That kills it for me. Iām sure they will have better batteries soon. Then youāre looking at a lot of money in the air cheating gravity. One mistakeā¦ Its too risky. Crashing the air2s into the ocean and not being insured was pretty devastating.
The air2s and the Mavic pro batteries donāt hold their charge. If you charge your batteries and donāt use it, they will drain. When you get to the location you want to film. Your batteries wonāt be fully charged. I just checked my batteries on the Mavic3 and they have drained too. Itās been sitting for four days and batteries were fully charged. now they are at 70%.
Where do you live? This is bloody awesome. Iām so so jealous you have this at your door.
They do this on purpose. The lithium polymer batteries perform best, and last longest when they are not stored fully charged and are discharged slowly down to 60-70% over a period of around 10 days. After 1 day they will reduce to 95%.
The batteries self-discharge after a set period of time and do so by heating an element in the battery that will expel the energy. If the batteries do not self-discharge, they swell up over time and the cells deteriorate as a direct result.
This is all part of the intelligent flight battery software which is doing much more than just calculating flight times and when return-to-home has to kick in.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with your batteries.
Always best to charge your batteries within 24 hours of needing them.
EDIT: DJI say a lithium polymer battery will discharge to ~60% after being idle for 5 days. Below is for the fpv, but it also uses lithium polymer as they are lighter than lithium ion.
