My daughter found a baby desert tortoise on the road the other day. Here he is compared to quarter.
And here he is again next to my other desert tortoise who is over 50 years old.

How cool and exciting to find a tortoise…Are you keeping him? I know nothing about tortoises. Are they social beings. Will your tortoise be happy to have a buddy?

The kids would like me to keep him. :smiley:
My big one is very social. Comes to say hi and is always trying to come in the house. He’s the boss of the yard and chases the dogs. Crazy, I know. He’s oblivious to the new guy, almost crawled over him.
