They are so common here where I live. Been pretty up close a few times. They usually just run and we give em their space

Zuma Beach walk after the AA meeting.
Didn’t feel like hiking. But I did find an Al-Anon meeting after my walk in Ventura.
Got my spiritual tank all filled up today. It was running pretty low.
Looking towards Point Dume
Heavy duty high tide. The waves are all crashing the beach and eroding it. This was all flat the other day.

So lovely to read this – What a lovely way to recharge. Love your beach adventures. Seriously though – i’m starting to think that everyone has moved out of California 
But honestly – I Would love quiet alone time on the beach
