Fabulous picture there Donna @anon79808082
Respect to the photographer.
Perspective on the lhs is a bit weird, like the building is leaning over!

He takes some pictures with a twist. If you look him up on Facebook you can see all his beautiful pictures of our island. His night time pictures of the stars sre pretty cool!

Which composition works best? I like the rule of thirds in composition, but i like the sun in the center too.

Last nights sunset on the way in

Sometimes the rule of 3rds needs to be broken. I prefer the top one. If that bank of cloud was not there then I think the rule of 3rds would be the way to go. It’s great experimenting these days and not using loads of film

I like the one in the middle, more depth of the clouds and the X pattern on the sun is a nice touch

Also what draws me to the second picture is the water; it looks more unsettled or something… all are great though.

I like the middle one, particularly because of the way the waves look :ocean:

@LisaMaryAppy Welcome to the site. They are great photos. Where are they taken? I especially like the bottom one. :+1:

Incredible pictures, welcome!

Thank you so much @Leveller!
They’ve all been taken in Austria. The bottom one is a lake called Plansee in Austria
