Pray for strength

Yet again, I have ended up embarrassing myself due to alcohol. Today is the start of change. It’s hard and I pray that I have the strength to do this.

Welcome to the community, there is lots of support for you. There are prayers and there are other means of support. I’m glad that you’ve made the decision that you no longer want to drink. There’s lots of good support here to help you on this new journey. One day at a time. Read the threads and get familiar and ask for the help that you need. Praying for strength for you.

Welcome to an amazing sober community @Blanche29 there are people here from around the world all working to fight against an addiction and be the best version of themselves.

For me community has been key. I found that community here and in the rooms of alcoholics anonymous.

Wish you well. Read around lots

Hey good luck, and to be honest with you I think all of us have at least (one) embarrassing moment with alcohol or more.
Don’t feel alone in this world , and good for you to own up and want a change.

I’m sure you will find the strength, take time to learn yourself and do your best to keep busy !!!

Hey there and welcome! I agree with @Drew95, I know I’ve also had more than one embarrassing moment due to alcohol, but don’t let that define you. We just have to take it as a learning experience and be confident that you have the strength to overcome this. You’re definitely not alone, this community is amazing! You’ll find so much support and resources to help you in this journey!
Best wishes

Welcome here :raising_hand_woman:
I know you have strenght, but to put it into action is more difficult but you can do it!
My advice is be here a lot to read and learn about your addiction. Try every tip ore “trick” you read. Keep the ones that work and trow away the ones that didn’t. It leaves you with your own “toolbox” you can use when you need it.
Be open minded :sunglasses:
And besides the info up here I would recommend to read recovery books ore podcasts. I love to walk in nature and listen to one.
“Recovery elevator” for example is a nice one.

You can do it! Just start put in the work!
