Hi all,
I’ve just come across the amazing app Radio Garden, and a recent comment from @Fireweed about visualising TS members as dots around the globe got me thinking of this app.
I’d like to ask for your help in assisting me populate my favorites list by letting me know of your favourite radio station(s) in your city/town/hamlet/whatever. As fun as random searching is, it’s also neat to focus in with recommendations from you give folk - great music is recommended here all the time so I know great music taste abounds.
While the app makers try to capture as much as possible, some stations might not be available yet, especially smaller, niche ones. If i can’t find it i will contact the developers to suggest it is added.
Radio Garden is an internet radio aggregator and visualiser which shows all available stations as did in a map. You can search the globe much like Google Earth and open up the lists of stations from cities everywhere. Large cities get grouped in lists of most popular and recommended etc, but you can always open a full list of stations available for each location. It’s really impressive stuff.
If you’d like to try it yourself it’s in Android and Apple, and the Android app is linked below.
Here’s a couple screenshots from my phone of how it looks.
I really like it… You might too… And i look forward to any radio recommendations people may make.
Not my favourite station but the selection was quite limited. Was about to submit a new radio station there, but then I saw a text on their website “no linking without permission” and thought I don’t wanna go to prison for that
Anyway it’s Radio Helsinki (non-commercial, no playlists) and link to stream is http://radio.radiohelsinki.fi/
Don’t snitch me
I just downloaded the app and it’s really cool. I was surprised to see my favorite smaller local station was on there.
It’s Rock music

What are some of your favorites in your area @AyBee so I can add them on my app?
I haven’t had the greatest chance to explore fully, but do have just a couple I’ve favourited so far.
I really like something a bit chill for background as i work and found this station in Santiago, Chile which is smooth and easy
Fanática CHILL from Santiago live on Radio Garden: https://radio.garden/listen/fanatica-chill/g3sYY7kw
I like that background one you have from Chili. I don’t normally listen to music while I work because the words can be distracting and I lose my concentration and start singing along but I think this would be good for me.
