Has anyone experienced restless leg syndrome during recovery? This is terribleš
Yes,there was times I couldnāt sit down much less lay downā¦to me it was the hardest part of stopping usingā¦
The good part is, is that it got better with time and now has finally went away altogetherā¦
Thanks, that helps! Iāve never really heard of anyone having that side effect. I noticed it as soon as i stopped drinking six days ago. My doctor precribed gabapentin so hopefully it kickis in tonight and I can find some relief.
Thanks again!
I have it as well. Makes me miserable at night. This sounds weird but orange juice helps for some odd reason. Might be a deficiency? Hang in there!
I have heard that heavy drinking can result in a thiamine and magnesium deficiency and such deficiencies are linked to Restless Leg Syndrome. You could consider increasing foods rich in these vitamins. More recently I have read that RLS has been linked to a dopamine imbalance which is clearly an issue during withdrawal and brain healing after years of abusing alcohol. Exercise may help with the chemical imbalance while you are giving your brain time to heal.
Good advice from you allā¦ Iām going to definitly look into the orange juice and vitamins, thank you!
I learned that otc sleep aids that had benadryl in it made mine worseā¦
Good thing i dont really take sleep aids. Makes me grougy in the morning. But good to know!
