Well I’m certainly no expert as I have had a few starts and stops with sobriety, but staying busy is key, also read as much as you can about addiction , that helps motivate me. This Naked Mind by Annie Grace is a good start.
You will stop when you realise that you actually dont want to drink anymore. Then its a mental struggle, you can do it but its not easy at first. Set achievable goals 2 weeks 1 month3 months 6 months 1 year.
After about a year i found that i did not really miss out on much, but a cold beer on a hot day does seem tempting. But acold coke isactially just as good
