Relapsed after 4 months!

I agree, for sure.

Put it down to experience. I had 19 months of sobriety from alcohol cocaine and heroin then relapsed ferociously on alcohol. I continued to drink for 8 months but stopped again at the beginning of the year. Relapse for me was a numbing process - once I stayed sober long enough to brave the reason why I relapsed, things got better. Just don’t quit quitting and try to find new ways to stay sober. Keep changing them if you have to. Relapse definitely isn’t part of recovery but more of a sign that you’ve still got some shit to work out. Give yourself some downtime.

Very well put.
This makes total sense to me.
Only bcuz I relapsed more times than I can count and this is the first time I have encountered such a great media site. I am super encouraged that this time is for real and it will keep me sober. It’s also inspiring me to change everything I have been doing.
From my the Friends I have, my attitude at work, how i deal with ppl and how i interact with my kids.
EVERYTHING☺

It happens my friend; but like all of us, we push passed it. I am coming up on a year after many relapses; stay true to you! Find your peace and go with it. :+1:t3:
