"Relapsed" on a personal goal

Well I messed up and threw away 36 days of not having an energy drink in the garbage… I’m hoping this isn’t a sign of what’s to come in the future but I swear iv been craving sugary drinks more than I have alcohol the last week -.- I guess the only thing I can do is not feel bad about it and try again. I used to drink 4 or 5 monsters a day and I really don’t want that to become a habit again. Anyways just thought I would share because I felt really bad about that. I can’t even drink energy drinks responsibly agh.

I forgive you… But dude, it’s hard to give up everything that gives you a head change brother! I have a history of drinking those things too much as well especially being in my line of work. I had myself cut off to one a day which I think is pretty good especially since I wouldn’t drink any other carbonated beverage at all.

If we make too many changes at once it’s hard to make them stick. Great job staying off booze, cut yourself a break on the energy drinks. You’re inspiring, keep it up!

I drink “yerba mate” the brand is guyaki. Its tea that gives you a boost but no crash. Mate is tea from central america, Chile i believe. It has loads of amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants. Checj it out if your interested in a chamge of drink. I understand if you just want off any stimulate. Just thought id throw this at ya.

Yerba mate was a godsend when I quit coffee for a while. But alas, I’m back to my too many cups of coffee a day :frowning:

Exactly what I was going to say. In my meetings, I’ve heard some stories where people try too much at once - sobriety, diet/exercise, cutting carbs/sugar/fat, quitting smoking, etc. Overloading can cause a potential relapse. Take it easy and don’t beat yourself too much about it! I like rock stars myself

I will definitely check that out. I was in tea only for over 30 days (black tea w sugar and cream) but something yesterday made me want to give in lol is this tea available at most supermarkets or online?

Ah I love rocks stars too. Lol now I want one -.- maybe I can just drink them as like a reward or a treat. But that’s also addict behavior to a T lol I’m conflicted

Love this thread. It’s not always about the drugs and alcohol but about personal goals we set for ourselves. I’m working on my vices as well man and it sounds like you have already came a long way. Now you know you can totally do it! Don’t worry about it, keep it in the past and keep striving to keep your healthy trends going! Good luck my brother.!!!

It is definitely online. Not sure where ya live but you can look up the distributor and search for stores in your area. Look under “guyaki”. I drink the ones in the can that are fruit flavored and the convince of an any time can. The heath benefits alone are worth drinking it i feel.

If it’s distributed in Chicago area you’ll find it in the stores. My chain sold it here. Tiny can like 8-10oz and not cheap… lol. I think we retailed it for $3.99 per can. Better pack a punch for the price is all I’m sayin’.

No, you’re about right. I was thinking about “matcha” tea in a small can. I know Yerba Mate.
